Dover is about a 30-minute drive west of Boston and is located adjacent to Natick, Needham and Westwood. It is easily reached from Routes 9, 109, 128 and 135. Our students come from 30 cities and towns.

The main entrance to Charles River School is located off Old Meadow Road in Dover. From Dover Center, drive south on Walpole Street, passing the Mobil station on your left. Take your first left onto Old Meadow Road. The next left is the main entrance to the school campus. Our outdoor playing fields will be on your right. Visitors may park in any open parking spaces. From Route 9 (From the West - Worcester)

Rte. 27 exit off Route 9 into Natick Center. Left onto Rte.135. Pass Dunkin Donuts on your left and take a right turn at the lights onto Union St. Continue to South Natick Center and cross Rte. 16.Turns into Pleasant St. About a mile and a half, take a left onto Haven Street (hairpin turn). At fork, bear right onto Church Street. Go to the end and turn left onto Springdale Avenue. Bear right at immediate fork. Pass the Dover Market. Go straight through lights in Dover Center (Walpole Street) and take the first left onto Old Meadow Road. Take the first left into school driveway.

From Route 9 (From the East - Brookline)

Going west on Route 9, pass the Chestnut Hill Mall on your right. Go 1.9 miles to the 3rd light at the Elliot/Woodward intersection. Turn left at the light onto Elliot Street. Continue on Elliot being sure to stay left at the fork just past the Stone Institute (on your right). You will cross Chestnut Street in Newton and continue about 6 miles(on Central Avenue) to the traffic light in Dover Center. (You will pass a sign for the original school building on your left before the light.) Bear left at the traffic light onto Walpole Street and take the first left onto Old Meadow Road. First left again is the school driveway.

From Jamaica Plain/Route 1

Take Rte.1 (the VFW Parkway) toward Dedham. Follow signs for Westwood, turning right onto Rte. 109(Bridge Street) in Dedham. Stay on Rte. 109 until it crosses over Rte.128. After Rte. 128, take the second right onto Summer Street. Stay on that road and continue straight to the end. Turn left onto Westfield Street. Take Westfield to the end and turn left onto Dedham Street. Continue on Dedham Street for approximately 2 miles until you come to a stop sign. Go through the stop sign keeping to the left and continue to the traffic light in Dover Center, passing the sign for Charles River School on your left. Bear left at the light onto Walpole Street and take your first left onto Old Meadow Road. Take the first left into the school driveway.

From Route 128 (From the North or South)

Take Rte.128 to the Westwood Rte. 109 exit. Take the second right onto Summer Street. Stay on that road to the end and turn left onto Westfield. Take Westfield to the end and left onto Dedham Street. Continue on Dedham Street for approximately 2 miles until you come to a stop sign. Go through the stop sign keeping to the left and continue to the traffic light in Dover Center, passing the sign for Charles River School on your left. Bear left at the light onto Walpole Street and take your first left onto Old Meadow Road. Take the first left into the school driveway.

From Route 109 (Medfield-Millis area)

From Millis, go straight through lights at Rte. 27 by Friendly's. Take left at next lights (North St. -Fleet Bank is on the right). Continue past Police and Fire Station and bear right at the fork onto North St. Bear right at the fork onto North St. Bear right at the next fork (North St.). As you enter Dover, North St. becomes Centre St. Continue into Dover Center. At the lights take a right onto Walpole St. Take the first left, opposite the Dover Post Office, onto Old Meadow Rd. First left into school driveway.
