Our faculty is comprised of creative and nurturing men and women who possess a wealth of experience in hands-on, personalized learning. At all grade levels, our teachers encourage collaborative learning and social competency, support the individuality of our students, and encourage them to grow, learn, explore, take risks and move toward independence.

At Charles River School, teachers work in teams to plan activities, design curriculum, and meet the academic and social needs of their students. Each of our classes in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade is taught by two full-time teachers, while a team of two teachers shares teaching responsibilities in fifth and sixth grades. In the seventh and eighth grades, each teacher teaches a different subject and also acts as an advisor to approximately six students. Our unique advisor system helps students and teachers to develop relationships over a two-year period through one-on-one meetings and allows our teachers to attend to the academic, emotional, and social needs of all students. Seventh and eighth grade teachers all work as a cohesive team to plan activities and curriculum for students.

Special subject teachers for music, French and Spanish (sixth-eighth grades), art, physical education, science, technology, and library help challenge and motivate students and enhance the academic program by encouraging learning, social competency, creativity, leadership, and responsibility.
