Teacher/Parent Partnership at Charles River School

Charles River School endorses a strong partnership between its faculty and parents with the goal of providing an enhanced educational experience for each child. This partnership requires a commitment to supporting each other's goals for the child in accordance with the school's mission statement.

The teacher/parent partnership:

	Affirms that communication is a shared responsibility of both parties;
	Requires a willingness and expectation on both sides to work on and nurture the alliance;
	Is fostered by mutual trust and respect. When parents and teachers respect each other, children thrive;
	Acknowledges that teachers and parents bring different areas of expertise to the relationship; Each teacher contributes a professional expertise about curriculum and child development and each parent brings a personal expertise about his/her child;
	Observes the privacy and personal boundaries of parents and teachers.
