Developmental Curriculum
At Charles River School, teachers design curricula that allow each child, from the youngest to the oldest, to grow with a sense of achievement and self-confidence, bearing in mind students' differing development levels.

Our curriculum is designed to spiral so that
skills and concepts learned are reinforced
and further developed each year. At the same
time, our curriculum challenges children with
an engaging program that stimulates intellectual
curiosity, supports risk-taking, and fosters
exploration and discovery.

childhood years, the elementary
years, and the upper

Integrated Thematic Studies
At Charles River School, we structure much of our learning around
themes, providing our students with a meaningful context for
their learning. Through each grade's theme, students become
actively engaged in related literary, historical, scientific
and cultural material, allowing them to delve deeply as well
as broadly into concepts and curricula. Our integrated approach
teaches children to be inquisitive learners who discover the
many facets of an experience and to understand what it feels
like to have an in-depth knowledge of subject worth knowing
about-life in the Medieval times, Colonial America, the Age
of Exploration, or the world of the ancient Greeks.
