Charles River School adheres to the Principles of Good Practice for Member Schools - Financial Aid Management as delineated by the National Association of Independent Schools.

The purpose of the Charles River School Financial Aid Program is to promote the School's enrollment goals: to provide access to the School for a larger number of qualified students and to enhance the diversity of the student population.

Charles River is committed to ensuring that qualified candidates have the opportunity to attend, regardless of financial circumstances. We understand that financial considerations are the major reason why many families do not consider independent schools and is a major factor for families deciding not to re-enroll in the school. At Charles River School, we want to make sure that families have all the information they need regarding financial aid and payment plans.

Charles River School is committed to need-based financial aid, which means we award aid to a student based solely on the need indicated from the family's financial aid application and tax returns. To calculate need, we rely on the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey. Charles River School does not offer merit-based financial aid.

The School's Financial Aid Committee uses the information provided by the School and Student Service to determine awards based on the school's guidelines for financial aid, the funds available and the family's need.

Although funds for financial aid are limited, the school is committed to being a diverse and inclusive community and providing access to independent schools to talented students who otherwise would be unable to attend.

In addition to financial aid, Charles River School has monthly loan and payment plans to assist with tuition payments.

For financial aid application forms and more detailed information about our financial aid program and payment plans, please contact the Admissions Office.

Charles River School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, personnel policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs and athletic and other school-administered programs.
