This campaign gave us more physical space for children and teachers. Our new building has enlarged classrooms designed specifically for young children (grades PreK through 3) along with a new science room, photo, a combined art and Extended Day Program room, a kitchen classroom and a new play barn. For our older students and the school's summer program participants, the early childhood building's new photography darkroom is a big plus!. During the summer of 2003, we renovated classrooms in the Library Building, effectively doubling the size of grades 4, 5, and 6 instructional spaces along with an enlarged computer room. This construction and renovation work was critical for the current students as well as for the future of the school and marked the beginning of a larger campus improvement plan at Charles River. We are so pleased with the first steps.
