Campaign Completed!     Success for CRS!

Thanks to hundreds of donors, Foundations for Learning is a success.

Reflecting back to November 2003 (the beginning of the public phase of the campaign)
we remember that people asked...

Why do so many devote their time to asking others to give to a capital campaign?

The overwhelming response was...

Because our community understands that to maintain the innovation and program expansion necessary for all educational institutions, CRS included, schools must have the facilities and faculty resources to support their goals.  These resources have always come from capital campaigns, supported by parents, alumni, and friends who appreciate the worth of the institution and want to secure its future. We had over 45 solicitors helping the school accomplish its mission.

“It was an exhilarating experience listening to other parents and alumni share their unique perspectives on why they believe CRS is such a special place and deserved their support,” states former Board President and campaign co-chair Carol Lisbon.

“My two brothers and I are graduates of CRS, and my two children are “end-to-enders,” attending Charles River from Pre-K through grade 8. Daughter Winnett '90 and Gilly '88 enjoyed the use of Foster Hall and the lower grades science room that were built through the generosity of hundreds of donors to our 1992 capital improvement program. Our family remains grateful to those before us who made this school such a wonderful place.  I am pleased to have been part of the team that enabled the school to successfully complete Foundations for Learning, ensuring a strong future for CRS students.”
