Middle School Students Recognized in Math & Model UN

In the recent AMC 8 math competition, two CRS middle school students were named to the Honor Roll, scoring in the top 5 percent nationally. The AMC 8 is multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills; it provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers.

On February 10th, 13 6th and 7th graders participated in the Model UN Arctic Crisis Conference. Two students received the Most Creative award for their work as Sergey Lavrov on the Arctic Council, and three students received the Best Delegate award for their work as Fedot Popov on the Great Northern Exploration Committee (an historical crisis committee). Another great conference for Model UN!
