Our student-athletes were remarkable this week! Runners competed in a home meet at Powisset Farm earlier this week, and all teams competed during the annual CRS vs. DCD games on Thursday, Oct. 17. During Thursday's showing, the final CRS vs. DCD standings were impressive: girls soccer tied 1-1, boys soccer won 3-1, and cross country boys beat DCD boys at the Larz Anderson Invite. Co-ed field hockey lost in a hard-fought game.
Athletics at Charles River School are an important part of a child's education. In addition to the physical exercise and development of motor skills, students experience the leadership and teamwork of individual and group play; this fosters interest and enjoyment in learning to play a sport, sportsmanship and risk-taking.
Charles River School is a PreKindergarten through Grade 8 independent school that honors the pursuit of academic excellence and the joy of childhood. We nurture each child by igniting curiosity, encouraging creativity, and cultivating intellectual engagement. Our graduates know themselves, understand others, and shape the future of our diverse world with confidence and compassion.
