Parent Education Speaker Series to Feature Dr. Kimberly O'Brien

The Parent Association is excited to announce that Dr. Kimberly O'Brien, CRS School Counselor since 2018, will be featured on Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 PM for their next Speaker Series event. In addition to her role at CRS, Dr. O'Brien is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a Clinician and Research Scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. O'Brien has 14 years of experience as a licensed clinician serving youth and families, as well as extensive graduate teaching expertise in mental health and substance use. She has published over 40 research articles and has been funded by the National Institute of Health to develop and test interventions for suicidal teens who use substances, as well as innovative suicide risk assessment training programs for professionals. 

She will speak about anxiety in children, including what anxiety looks like, practical approaches parents can take, and when/how to seek additional resources to address it. This talk is free and open to the public. Click here to register.
