Students who are members of the campus Green Team have been implementing environmentally-friendly changes and keeping the CRS community informed regarding on-campus and global environmental concerns. The students have created a newspaper, "The Green Team Gazette," and have given updates at Sharing Assemblies to make everyone aware of their initiatives.
With the help of club advisor Leigh Hutchinson, the group has been researching composting organizations in order to find a company the school can partner with the expand its efforts in this area. In addition, the students have been gaining a better understanding of the standards used by the trash and recycling companies contracted by CRS. Other activities the group has been championing include placing reminders next to light switches around campus to remind everyone to conserve energy, and connecting with action groups who participated in last year's student-organized Climate Change Panel.
