CRS Returns for the 2021-2022 School Year

Faculty welcomed new and returning students on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 8, and there was so much excitement as our Otters explored new classrooms and campus spaces. In PreK/K, students practiced putting their belongings into their cubbies before sitting for their first Morning Meeting. Across campus, students in Grades 7/8 looked for their lockers before participating in community building activities outside. There were similar scenes for all other grades and many opportunities for students to get to know one another better.

Later in the day, the whole school came together under the tent for our first all-school assembly of the year. Head of School Gretchen Larkin welcome everyone and, as tradition goes, read aloud a children's book with an important message for all. Associate Head of School Elizabeth Clayton introduced new members of the faculty and administration, and Head of Performing Arts Mica Moellering led the school in a series of chants and songs (including the special CRS "Birthday Song"). It was the perfect kick-off to what will be a great year!
