CRS Honors Veterans with On-Campus Installation

This year on Veterans' Day, Thursday, November 11, 2021, the entire school gathered for a moment of gratitude as fifth-graders raised the American Flag in honor of all veterans who have served our country. The school also unveiled a new, permanent collection to specifically honor and thank those members of the CRS community who have served our country.

The installation includes a U.S. flag donated by Anant Shukla, Class of 2002. Shukla served as a flight surgeon for an assault helicopter unit and physician for a small base in Logar Province, Afghanistan (FOB Dahlke) in 2019. He kept this flag on his person during multiple combat operations in Eastern Afghanistan, where he provided medical support to both U.S. and allied forces. The Veterans' Wall includes artifacts and memorabilia from other members of our community as well, including photos, certificates, flags, and letters.

Charlie Fosbroke P'23, member of the Mass. Army National Guard from 1994-2018, joined faculty, staff, and students for the ceremony and dedication of the Veteran's Wall.
