  • 4th Grade Co-Teacher

    We are seeking an energetic elementary educator to co-teach fourth grade. The successful candidate will have experience in curriculum development and will work closely with a co-teacher to plan and implement a thematic curriculum that honors children’s developmental pace and includes language arts, math, social studies, and social-emotional skills.
     
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Providing support to students in social, emotional, and academic areas
    • Communicating with parents about classroom events and student progress
    • Participating as a full member of the CRS faculty (e.g., participating in recess and carpool duties, attending weekly meetings, serving on a committee, etc.)

  • 6th Grade Humanities Teacher

    We are seeking an energetic middle school educator to co-teach sixth grade. This teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing the sixth grade humanities curriculum, as well as collaborating on other aspects of the curriculum, including the health and wellness curriculum and the teaching of digital citizenship. This is a particularly exciting time to be joining our sixth grade team, as we opened our new middle school building (grades 6-8) just this year.
     
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Collaborating with the Grade 6 Math and Science Teacher to create thematic links between the humanities and STEM programs
    • Providing support to students in social, emotional, and academic areas
    • Working with upper elementary teachers and other middle school teachers to maintain consistency in the English and social studies curricula from year to year
    • Communicating with parents about classroom events and student progress
    • Participating as a full member of the CRS faculty (e.g., participating in recess and carpool duties, attending weekly meetings, serving on a faculty committee, etc.)

  • Physical Education Teacher/Athletics Coordinator

    We are seeking an energetic and community-minded Physical Education Teacher & Athletics Coordinator. This is a full-time 10 month position, in which the candidate will work closely with the Director of Athletics/Head of Physical Education. The successful candidate must exhibit a passion for athletics and a commitment to working with children. He/she should have proven experience communicating with multiple constituents, including but not limited to parents, coaches, teachers, officials, and other members of the school community.
     
    Responsibilities Include:
    • Teaching Physical Education and Wellness classes to PreK through 3rd Graders
    • Coordinating with different grade level teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and classes
    • Coaching 2-3 seasons a year (based on necessity)
    • Assisting in athletic facilities preparation (lining athletic fields, game-day setup/breakdown, etc.)
    • Organizing uniform inventory, cleaning, and distribution
    • Confirming athletic team transportation
    • Confirming athletic officials
    • Writing bi-annual student reports 
    Essential Skills and Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in education & athletics
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
    • Coaching and playing experience preferred, especially experience coaching children in a variety of sports activities
    • Proven ability to promote skill development, team spirit, competition, ethical conduct, and leadership.
    • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Strong decision-making and communication skills
    • Ability to keep accurate logs and /or written records of all events
    • Ability to demonstrate great customer service skills in daily interactions with students, parents, and coworkers.
    • Strong conflict resolution skills

    CRS is seeking qualified candidates for occasional substitute teaching in all grades and subjects, with the greatest need being in Early Childhood classrooms and specialists classes like art and music.
