Voting & Democracy in 8th Grade

This fall, 8th graders dedicated their Friday Social Studies classes to working on a student-directed Voting and Democracy Project. Students took on many different tasks, and some wrote informational articles about the importance of voting, or about the Massachusetts Ballot Questions #1 and #3. Despite the fact that 8th graders are not yet able to vote, these students are engaged and civic-minded participants in the American democratic process.
