Standing in the carpool circle every morning and afternoon, wrapped up in a winter jacket, hat and scarf, it’s hard to remember what the summer heat felt like. However, summer is very much on my mind right now! We just opened registration for CRS Summer 2023 and I couldn’t be more excited. This summer is going to be full of joy, fun activities, and the perfect combination of old and new.

Our Charles River Creative Arts Program, which has run for more than 50 years, continues to bring art, music, dance, and creativity of all kinds to our campus over the summer. This program takes choice to the next level. Campers choose from a catalog of classes and get to create a schedule that truly reflects their varied interests. Every session, campers make amazing movies, musicals, stories, performances, and displays with the support and guidance of counselors. It’s a treat to watch them create something every day.

We’re also bringing back our Nature and STEM program for 4- to 11-year-olds, and adding a brand new and complementary program, STEM and Sports, for 9- to 11-year-olds. This new program gives campers the same opportunity to work on STEM-focused hands-on projects, perform in our daily Noontime Show, and take a dip in the pool, while also playing organized sports in the afternoons. We have some fun and exciting new projects in the works for our campers this summer!

We continue our partnership with Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim Business School this summer for our Summer LaunchPad program. Campers will learn entrepreneurship and business skills from energetic and enthusiastic graduate students and this summer, we hope to add in a few amazing field trips to local companies and even to the Northeastern campus!

Our newest program this summer is for the very young. For the first time, CRS Summer will offer drop-in sessions for toddlers – CRS Summer Minis. It’s exciting to think of these little humans, ages 2 to 4, joining our summer community to participate in Music, Science & STEAM, and Art Exploration.

When you feel the chill of the winter wind, cheer yourself up by remembering that summer will be here before you know it! Visit our website to register today!
