Corie is a seasoned educational leader with two decades of experience fostering dynamic learning environments with an emphasis on inclusivity, instructional and pedagogical development, and mentorship. Her approach to leadership is characterized by authenticity, mission alignment, and joy. Corie feels it is essential to be true to her values and transparent in her approach with a commitment to continuous growth and innovation. She fosters a culture of openness, improvement, and empowerment ensuring that the educational experience is dynamic in preparing students for active participation in a democratic society.
Previously, Corie served as Dean of Faculty at The Williston Northampton School where she provided academic leadership through strategic faculty oversight – including hiring, onboarding, and retention. She also stewarded a significant professional development budget, ensuring faculty can access the resources and learning opportunities necessary to advance teaching excellence and scholarly engagement. Prior, she served as Director of Curriculum & Professional Development at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Maryland supporting daily operations, strategic initiatives, and programming. She has served as an English and history teacher, coach, and advisor in diverse educational settings spanning from Massachusetts to California.
Corie earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theater Arts and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College as well as a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School/Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a frequent presenter at national conferences, an avid researcher, and a regular contributor to educational publications. Corie co-authored Enough As She Is: The Educator’s Guide with New York Times bestselling author Rachel Simmons.
