Head's Message

I am excited to welcome you to Charles River School, a school of joyful distinction. On any given day, abundant smiles and a palpable energy will greet you on campus.
Founded in 1911 by the banks of the Charles River, CRS is a thriving community of learners who carry on our founders' vibrant academic traditions and deeply-held values; we remain deeply committed to academics, moral development, innovation in education, and instilling a true love of learning.

Since the 20th Century, we've been delivering a curriculum encompassing 21st Century skills such as critical thinking and cultural competency, and, today, we continue to be led by our mission and a passionate commitment to educate the whole child.  We nurture children while fostering their independence, help them better understand their intellectual strengths, and steadfastly believe in the capacity of children to achieve and succeed - both academically and socially.
It is my honor to be the Head of Charles River School and partner with parents and teachers to shepherd children through childhood. At CRS, we work in partnership with parents and children to embrace the challenges of the future. As parents and as educators, we want our children to be intellectually engaged with the complex and wonderfully diverse world around them; we want them to become compassionate, independent, and resilient. This is the benefit of a CRS education.
As we like to say: Academic excellence and a childhood, too.
I look forward to welcoming you and your child to our remarkable community.
